Biography

Caitlin Hargraves is a professional actor who has only recently moved to Atlanta after completing her MA at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Locally she has performed with The Weird Sisters (The Electric Baby, as Natalia), Synchronicity Theatre (The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, as The Traveler), Theatre Emory (The Anointing of Dracula, as Mina Murray), and Impulse Repertory Co. (Julius Caesar, as Brutus), as well as various staged readings. Prior to moving to the UK, Caitlin lived in New York City where she initially moved to attend New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. After completing her BFA she performed as part of the performance art collective The Million Underscores, training in Amsterdam and creating devised work around New York City. She has also performed regionally, some of her favorite roles include Aldonza in Man of La Mancha, Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Texas Shakespeare Festival), Melinda in My Barking Dog (Urbanite Theatre, Sarasota), and Edna in The Mistakes Madeline Made (BASiC Theatre Project, New York). Caitlin continues to work in the television, film, and voice over industries in a wide range of projects. The masters program Caitlin attended at LAMDA was primarily focused on classical theatre from 1400 to 1850. This afforded her the opportunity to dive deeply into the work of the Spanish Golden Age, Shakespeare and his contemporaries, as well as French and English Restoration theatre. For her thesis she chose examine the relationship between the practices of yoga (for which she has been an instructor since 2014) and classical text, integrating them into a process for developing a character. Caitlin continued to develop her work on her thesis and present workshops focused around the subject.
