Since Emory

I co-founded a theater company, performed, choreographed and in and around Atlanta for many years. I returned to school in 2007 and got my MFA in Dramatic Arts in order to teach on the college level. I worked with a number of small arts organizations in production, administration and education in the SF Bay Area before moving back to my native New York.

Current Activities

My years of working in the arts and hospitality has led me to create my current endeavor, A More Perfect Union. As an ordained minister and certified yoga instructor, I specialize in officiating weddings, relationship counseling, yoga for weddings and life coaching.

Highlights at Emory

Highlights include my first show, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which encouraged my official transfer to Emory; playing Mrs. Shin in Good Person of Szechwan directed by Tim Ocel; and working on Kent in Tim McDonough and Jan Akers’ workshop of King Lear.

In retrospect

What I appreciated most was working with local professionals in Theater Emory shows. That and the great relationship the department has with the Atlanta Theater community at large, made an easier transition from academics into the professional scene.
