Planning Your Application
Start early! Begin looking least 2-3 months beforehand.
Summer internships: start searching in mid-December through May.
Fall semester internships: start searching early to mid-July.
Spring semester internships: start searching early to mid-November.
Deadlines will depend on the organization and industry.
Some internships accept applications on a rolling basis. The earlier you apply, the better your chances.
How to find internships:
- Use the links in the left menu to search internships available through Emory, in Atlanta, and in theater.
Emory students also have access to Handshake where work-study, part-time, internship and full-time positions are posted. For additional opportunities, you should explore University Career Action Network, an internship database with 1500 plus internships.
You have access to ARTSEARCH through the Department of Theater and Dance, which is managed by TCG (Theater Communications Group). Majors should contact Matt Jordan for access.
Make an appointment with your Career Counselor who can help you tailor your search to your interests, whether it is theater-related or not.
